IRTG 914 Annual Retreat - Herrsching 2019

In November 2019, the 7th Annual Scientific Retreat of the Integrated Research Training Group (IRTG 914) took place in Herrsching/Ammersee, near Munich. At this retreat, all participating doctoral candidates presented their current research work by giving a talk. Keynote lectures were given by the invited guest speakers Antal Rot (Queen Mary University of London, UK) and Andreas Margraf (University Hospital Münster, Germany). Every presentation resulted in lively discussions on the project and beyond, the guest speakers and present PIs provided additional scientific background and suggestions. To reflect the performance of the presentations, feedback committees (one PI and one doctoral candidate) were set up to for every doctoral candidate and feedback was given afterwards. In a final wrap-up session the IRTG 914 doctoral candidates gave feedback to the IRTG 914 curriculum and management and few suggestions to further adapt the program were made.

All participating doctoral candidates voted for the best talks. Among the 24 talk given by doctoral candidates, the winners are:

  • Sergi Masgrau Alsina, PhD doctoral candidate (B01)
  • Jonas Roth, MD doctoral candidate (B11)
