Poster Awards for Two Young Scientists

The PhD student Ariane Schumski and the postdoc Ina Rohwedder – both members of SFB 914 – won poster awards at this year’s 53rd Annual Scientific Meeting of the European Society for Clinical Investigation (ESCI) in Coimbra, Portugal.

Ariane Schumski is a PhD student in the group of Prof. Oliver Söhnlein (SFB 914 project B08) at the Institute for Cardiovascular Prevention and a member of the graduate program IRTG 914. Her award-winning poster was on the atherogenic monocyte recruitment through NET-resident H2A, which is accelerated by endotoxemia.

Ina Rohwedder is a postdoc in the laboratory of Prof. Markus Sperandio (SFB 914 project B01), at the Biomedical Center, LMU München. She was awarded for her poster entitled: “Src Family Kinase-mediated vesicle trafficking is critical for neutrophil basement membrane penetration”.
