Project A07 (E) - Cytoskeletal dynamics in migrating leukocytes and Dictyostelium amoebae

This project ended 06/2015

Directed migration of leukocytes or Dictyosteliumamoebae requires a finely tuned organization of the cytoskeleton. Based on our experience on single molecule activities we expand our research towards filamin, formin and their binding partners with specific interest in inter-cytoskeletal interactions (e.g. filamin/actin/vimentin, formin/actin/microtubules) in leukocytes. The work programme also includes the structural determination of binding domains by NMR or crystallography and the thorough analysis of directed cell migration in microfluidic devices.
