Project B11 (N) - Role of cytosolic MRP8/14 in leukocyte recruitment in vivo

This project started 07/2019

The project intends to identify the function of intracellular MRP8/14 (S100A8/A9, calprotectin) in neutrophil recruitment. We aim to uncover the role of cytosolic MRP8/14 in postarrest modification steps, like spreading, adhesion strengthening and Ca2+ dependent cytoskeletal rearrangement. Furthermore, we will study the influence of MRP8/14 in neutrophil transendothelial migration and interstitial migration. In order to achieve these aims we will combine in vivo studies using different mouse inflammation models with in vitro assays.
