Project Z01 - Four-dimensional imaging of immune cell trafficking using multi-photon intravital microscopy

Multi-photon intravital microscopy (MP-IVM) presents a major advance in the research field of immunology that provides dynamic 4-dimensional imaging of immune cell behavior deep inside organs of living organisms. The aims of the project during the second funding period of this CRC are i) to further provide MP-IVM of immune cell trafficking in non-infectious (S1) and infectious conditions (S2) in all mouse tissues and organs required for the projects of CRC 914, ii) to perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of imaging data, and iii) provide access to several transgenic mouse lines required by members of CRC 914.
