Project Z03 (N) - Fast and high-resolution imaging of leukocyte trafficking using spinning-disk confocal microscopy

The project will use high-resolution spinning-disk confocal microscopy (SDCM) to perform high-definition as well as ultra-fast 4D imaging of leukocyte trafficking and localization in time and space. This will close the currently existing methodological gap within CRC 914 with respect to imaging leukocyte trafficking behavior. Our aim is to set up a state-of-the-art SDCM facility, which will be open to all members of the CRC and offer the scientific and technical support to perform multi-color confocal imaging of immune cells, their subcellular compartments as well as their micro-environments in various animal tissues.
