Bernd Uhl wins Hermann Rein Award 2017

Bernd Uhl, postdoc in the lab of Christoph Reichel (SFB 914 project B03), was awarded the Hermann Rein Award 2017 for excellent contributions to the field of experimental and clinical research in microcirculation and vascular biology.

Bernd presented work from his original research paper “Aged neutrophils contribute to the first line of defense in the acute inflammatory response” (Blood 2016) at this year’s 39th Annual Meeting of the German Society for Microcirculation and Vascular Biology (GfMVB) in Grainau. He was chosen as winner from three finalists in the special Hermann Rein Award Session.
