Project A06 (E) - Rho-GTPase-dependent plasmacytoid dendritic cell seeding, retention and recruitment in vivo

This project ended 06/2019

Plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDCs) are a rare subset of innate immune cells that gained much attention, as they display tolerogenic functions and additionally are very potent in secreting rapid and high amounts of type 1 interferon during viral infections.

Here in this project we aim to investigate the functional contribution of Rho-GTPases in pDCs biology. Furthermore, we will determine the homing capacities of pDCs to different peripheral tissues under steady state and inflammatory conditions in presence/absence of specific Rho-GTPases.
